Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
ASISTEACH ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up through a third-party service (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
Teaching data
To provide our services, we store the data you enter about your students, including names, language levels, lesson notes, vocabulary, progress, and any other information you choose to add. This data belongs to you and is used solely to power ASISTEACH features.
Usage data
We automatically collect technical data such as your browser type, device, IP address, pages visited, and interaction patterns. This helps us improve the platform and fix issues.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies from third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ASISTEACH platform
- Generate AI-powered lessons, exercises, and homework based on your student data
- Send you important service updates and notifications
- Respond to your support requests
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
- Ensure the security and integrity of our platform
3. AI Processing
ASISTEACH uses artificial intelligence to generate lesson content, exercises, and homework. Your student data (level, notes, vocabulary, mistakes) is sent to our AI providers to generate personalized content. We do not use your data to train AI models. The generated content is returned to you and stored on our servers.
4. Third-Party Integrations
Google Calendar
If you choose to connect your Google account, ASISTEACH requests access to your Google Calendar so we can keep your lessons in sync with your calendar. This integration is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time.
What we access:
- Your basic Google profile (name, email) to identify the connected account
- A dedicated ASISTEACH calendar (or one you select) to create, update, and delete lesson events
- Existing events on the selected calendar (only when two-way sync is enabled), so we can import events you create in Google Calendar back into ASISTEACH as lessons
How we use it:
- When you schedule a lesson in ASISTEACH, we create a matching event in your Google Calendar
- When you edit or cancel a lesson in ASISTEACH, we update or remove the matching Google Calendar event
- When two-way sync is enabled and you create an event on the selected calendar in Google, we import it as a lesson in ASISTEACH
How to disconnect:
You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your ASISTEACH account settings. When you disconnect, we immediately revoke the access token and delete your stored Google credentials from our servers within 24 hours. You can also revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use:
ASISTEACH's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We do not sell your Google user data
- We do not use your Google user data for advertising
- We do not use your Google user data to train AI or machine learning models
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data, except with your explicit consent, for security or debugging purposes, or where required by law
- We only use your Google user data to provide and improve the calendar sync feature you have enabled
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and AI providers that help us operate the platform
- Legal obligations — if required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and student data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

9. Children's Privacy
ASISTEACH is designed for use by teachers and language schools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If a teacher enters student information about minors, the teacher is responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate consent to do so.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of ASISTEACH after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
